EIB PORT Version 3, a New Way to Control Building
To control building, EIB PORT Version 3 is an innovative gateway for automation and visualization
EIBPORT is a device which connects the building control with ethernet and home-entertainment. In addition to this, KNX/Powernet KNX TP and the EnOcean radio system or an optional GSM radio connection is available. Via the network interface, this device efficient switches a beamer or start the preferred mp3 playlist by using a pushbutton. Moreover, the EIBPort provides an excellent visualization and automation of the whole building control.
Easy to setup, the device is as simple as intuitive. With the help of this device, access to the building control can be realised locally or via remote access by PC, laptop, tablet or smart phone. The only thing requisite is a standard internet browser and connection.
Integrated services of this EIBPort allow implementing self-acting functionalities such as timer function, scenes and logical functions without starting an additional visualization. In this device, network cameras can be integrated into the visualization for monitoring purposes. Also, the device sends messages (e.g. faults and housebreaking alarms) as e-mail and/or sms to your mobile phone. Further to this device, the services for distributed installation coupling properties are centrally merged (even when overlapping addresses). Remote programming of EIB/KNX- devices via ETS is also possible. The device is mounted in a common power distribution cabinet. Most importantly, the power consumption of this device is less than 5W.
Furthermore, the EIBPORT version 3 is facilitated with 1-wire and four S0-terminals. In this device, the S0 interfaces support the direct integration of corresponding counter. Also, internal the interfaces are supported by a service that converts the pulses to a counter.
