Talk To Your Home Appliances

Talk To Your Home AppliancesNo one can imagine that they are chatting with their home appliances. Now, this is possible.

LG, a South Korea based electronic giant, has recently launched its HomeChat service. This service will allow users to communicate with their home appliances when they are out from their houses. In this range, a remote-controlled Washing Machine, a camera equipped Refrigerator and a Wi-Fi enabled Oven capable of suggesting recipes have been included by the company.

The first product of this league is Refrigerator, which has an in-built wide-angle camera that takes pictures of its shelves' contents every time its doors are opened and closed. This helps the user to check the latest photograph, when they are out for shopping. Another product is Washing Machine, which can be remotely activated by just texting it saying, 'Start washing cycle', and user can obtain real-time updates by asking, 'What are you doing'.Last but not the least, LG has introduced an Oven, which can be asked for recipe suggestions and automatically preheat the equipment to the appropriate temperature.

"Easiest and happiest collaboration between humans and machines ever", said LG's chief technology officer Skott Ahn, first time at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), earlier this year.

All appliances work in synchronized manner with the HomeChat service, which incorporates messaging app Line, very famous in Asia. This exclusive coordination helps users to control the settings of appliances from wherever they are.

According to company, there are number of intelligent home appliances available in the market that provide a variety of useful functions, but several consumers still find their setting an extremely complicated process. But, LG's HomeChat helps, simplifies and enhances the products functioning and users' experience. It also adds value to consumers' lives. Currently, this service is only available in South Korea and as per company, it will be launched to United States and other countries soon.
